You know those Lynx/Axe ads with Ben Affleck in them? Someone at BBH thinks a bit too much of this ad and probably Ben Affleck because they’ve reported every user that uploaded the ad with him.

Right so now, I’m someone at BBH and I’m thinking ‘dear God’, why would our client get more exposure than what he’s already paid us for, let’s get all those sods who uploaded this to YouTube to remove it. Who cares if YouTube is the most efficient way of sharing videos with other people and more people will actually see the ad? I mean, search for ‘dove onslaught’ or ‘dove evolution’ or ’sony bravia bunnies’ and no one seems to be as bothered as these guys…

(Yes, there you go, Affleck in the video, what a stud…not)

I wouldn’t have been so stupid to do this really as if you bother checking it out there are already a couple of videos from angry people. Not like the ad’s great anyway; I think it’s worthless and yes I can do better, working in advertising means you could sell ice cubes to penguins which would be harder in a way, rather than putting <famous name> in a TV ad and airing it making it look ‘cool’. Hello, 1995 just called, they wanted their advertising back!

Maybe they removed it because they don’t like the comments on the video? I’ll give you a hint, people were calling Ben Affleck gay. We know he’s not gay but he’s a metro but we also know what YouTube comments are like! They definitely won’t like the ones following their gesture of reporting everyone! Second hint : ‘Look what the jerks at BBH did’

Personally I would have and could have lived with ‘Ben Affleck is gay’ but they like people calling their ad agency different ways :D Ironically they have this black sheep on their website as well…heh!
