Lest we Forget

There was this post on Advertising for Peanuts about how people don’t really think a lot about ads when they first see them, that they’re only there for a fleeting second and then they vanish, people recall or not. But I wonder if people do notice things on the long term or they’re just too selfish to think any further - it would make sense when the change is obvious and it relates to something we experience each day (in this case economy).
Can you tell that someone’s playing on the fact that the price of a pint of beer has gone up? It’s no longer good to be ‘reassuringly expensive’ as a beer these days…


Do people go beyond a simple ad? And how much then?
